چکیده

This research studied the authentication of hazelnut oil by portable FT-NIR, FT-MIR, and Raman spectrometers. Hazelnut oils were adulterated with vegetable at various concentrations (0-25%) (w/w). Collected spectra analyzed using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) Soft Independent Modelling Class Analogy (SIMCA) to generate classification models authenticate pure Partial Least Squares Regression (PLSR) predict fatty acids adulterant levels. For confirmation, oil’s acid profile was determined gas chromatography. In all three instruments, SIMCA provided distinct clusters for samples interclass distance (ICD)3. All instruments showed excellent performance in predicting adulteration levels rval>0.93 standard error prediction (SEP)<1.75%. Specifically, FT-MIR unit best performances. Still, units can be used as an alternative traditional methods. These great potential in-situ surveillance detect adulterations.

Structural Analysis of Hirudin Using FT-IR and FT-Raman Spectroscopic Techniques

FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra of hirudin have been recorded from the native solid hirudin. The conformation of the molecule has been discussed on the basis of IR and Raman data. It has been concluded that hirudin molecule has a mixed a-helix and random coil conformation.

Nondestructive Authentication of Cocoa Bean Cultivars by FT-NIR Spectroscopy and Multivariate Techniques

Introduction: Rapid identification of cocoa bean varieties is vital for the authentication in cocoa trade. This paper examines the use of Near Infrared (NIR) Spectroscopy for nondestructive identification of cocoa bean cultivars. Methods: In this study, five cocoa bean cultivars (IMC85 x IMC47, PA7 x PA150, PA150 x Pound7, Pd10 x Pd15 and T63/967 x T65/238) were scanned in the NIR range of 1000...

FT-NIR and Confocal Microscope Raman Spectroscopic Studies of Sesame Oil Adulteration

Adulteration of edible vegetable oils is a very serious problem affecting its commercial value and customers’ health. FT-NIR and Confocal Micro-Raman have been explored for discriminating adulteration of sesame oils. The soybean, corn, and peanut oil were mixed into sesame oils in the range of 5~20%(v/v),respectively,and their Confocal Micro-Raman and FT-NIR spectra were collected. Principal co...

Quantitative Analysis of Panax ginseng by FT-NIR Spectroscopy

Near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS), a rapid and efficient tool, was used to determine the total amount of nine ginsenosides in Panax ginseng. In the study, the regression models were established using multivariate regression methods with the results from conventional chemical analytical methods as reference values. The multivariate regression methods, partial least squares regression (PLSR) and ...

Toluene, also known as methylbenzene or phenylmethane, is a clear, waterinsoluble liquid with the typical smell of paint thinners, redolent of the sweet smell of the related compound benzene. It is an aromatic hydrocarbon that is widely used as an industrial feedstock and as a solvent. Like other solvents, toluene is also used as an inhalant drug for its intoxicating properties [1,2]. Toluene r...
